Why is DR GS around?

$

Dr G S is from Canada, did his MBBS from chandigarh, india and finished his internship in Emory University, Atlanta, US. He then did his Post-Graduation studies from University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin, US. He was always interested more in academics, research and teaching, so he pursued his career in teaching. He taught for a while in University of Wisconsin, St George's University, and joined St Martinus University team last year. He has had more than 5 peer reviewed pubmed indexed publications, and is currently involved in Metabolomics research in St Martinus university in collaboration with University of Hasselt, Belgium.

I also know that he scored more than 255 in his step.

Where is the catch? Someone with these credential can work anywhere in the world. Why is he in SMU? He is like a walking encyclopedia.

I am blessed to have a professor like him. What I dont understand is why is DR GS around and not going to a country like US or Canada?

Prof. JG obtained his PhD in sciences (chemistry) in 1971 from the University of Ghent in Belgium. From 1973 to 2009, he was full Professor Chemistry in the Hasselt University Belgium.
Prof. G also taught (Bio)-Macromolecules in 1° Bach Molecular Biomedical Science and Medical imaging (MRI) in the 3° Bach Molecular Biomedical Science in the Transnational University Limburg (tUL) Uhasselt/Maastricht (2000-2009).
His research was in the fields of polymer materials research and NMR micro imaging of rats and mice. He was promotor of more than 30 PhD students.

He is heading the Metabolomics research in St Martinus university. I dont understand if the SMU is so bad . How come they are able to bring and retain professors like him?

I have been here for a year as a student.
We have one of the best education programs amongst all the schools.
We do very little to keep students happy. Now I see that education is top notch. I would like to see all information available on the college portal.
I suggest to have schedule, class outline , syllabus and book list available on Sakai.
Having grades as well as any announcements on Sakai will resolve most of the problems.

Anyone interested in getting a degree in medicine, unhappy with their current school, or just afraid of making the leap into a new school, should come to St. Martinus. I moved here in september, and Im so glad I did.

I was worried about moving to a new shcool, but now I feel those worries were unfounded.
This school is taking off, in the last three months things have really started changing and with more students this place will only get better.
If anyone has any questions and would like a student who is currently studying here to answer, I am more then happy to help out.

• Tshirtsl

I know that there has been discussion on this before, but it was from 2004 or around that time. I was wondering what other people thought on the subject. I have been accepted into both schools, but I am not sure which one I want to choose. I am from Michigan and hope to come back home for clinicals and to practice. I have seen a lot of negativity on SMU, but I am not sure if it is bitter students. They are both around the same price, but SABA is tough to travel to. I also read that SABA just changed school officials and that things are different there. Please feel free to shed light on the matter.
